A.J. Terrell Embracing Bigger Role

A.J. Terrell was the Atlanta Falcons first round draft pick in the 2020 draft. Despite some questions surrounding the pick at the time, the Clemson Tigers product enjoyed a successful first campaign and was one of the few bright spots for the Atlanta defense last season.

Heading into year two, Terrell is already looked upon as one of the leaders in the Falcons secondary. He credits newcomers Duron Harmon and Erik Harris with helping the transition with new defensive coordinator Dean Pees’ system.

The atmosphere around the Falcons training camp has been positive throughout, and Terrell praises new head coach Arthur Smith as well.

The Falcons take on the Miami Dolphins on Saturday night in their second preseason game. Terrell, like all of Atlanta’s projected starters, didn’t play against the Tennessee Titans last week. He should see some action on Saturday.
