According to reports, the Atlanta Falcons signed four XFL standouts to fill the roster holes made on Thursday. The Falcons cut edge rusher Ikenna Enechukwu, tight end Feleipe Franks and receiver Chris Blair. They also placed placed offensive tackle Ethan Greenidge on injured reserve.

They filled those spots with four standouts from the XFL according to Aaron Wilson.
Michal Menet (6’4/305), a three-year starter at center for Penn State, saw time on the practice squads of the Green Bay Packers and Arizona Cardinals the last two years. He played last year with the Seattle Sea Dragons.
Matthew Gotel is a 6’1 and 340 pound defensive tackle who played his college ball at West Florida, spent parts of the 2022 season with the Seattle Seahawks, and had 23 tackles for the San Antonio Brahmas in the XFL this year.
Caeveon Patton is another big defensive lineman at 6’2 and 300 pounds. He played four years at Texas State University and racked up 179 tackles. Patton spent time with the Colts in 2021 and 2022 without appearing in a regular season game.
Patton was All-XFL with the Orlando Guardians after posting 40 tackles this season.
Mathew Sexton (5’11/195) had 1,335 yards and nine touchdowns in four years with Eastern Michigan. Sexton has bounced on and off NFL rosters the last-two years including the Kansas City Chiefs and Pittsburgh Steelers. He had 23 catches for 363 yards for the Vegas Vipers in the XFL this season.
The Atlanta Falcons have maintained they will always be active in upgrading the talent on their roster. General manager Terry Fontenot mentioned this week that the Falcons have been near the top of the league in transactions. He doesn’t expect that to change this year.
