The Atlanta Falcons have added some depth to the wide receiver room by signing KeeSean Johnson according to their official site.
Johnson (6’1/201) was originally a 6th-round draft choice of the Cardinals is 2019. He played in 10 games as a rookie, starting four, and he 21 catches for 187 yards and a touchdown.
He followed up his rookie season with 15 catches in eight games.
Johnson was placed on the IR/COVID-19 list by the Cardinals prior to the 2021 season and spent time with the Philadelphia Eagles without making an appearance.

Johnson was most recently in camp with the San Francisco 49ers, but he was part of the cut casualties on Tuesday as teams cut their rosters from 90 to 85.
The Falcons trimmed their roster to 85 on Tuesday as well, and waived wide receiver Tyshaun James in a corresponding move. They also came to an injury settlement with defensive lineman Bryce Rodgers, leaving the roster at 84.
Johnson will have an opportunity to earn playing time as there isn’t much in the way of production and experience in the wide receiver room for the Falcons. Rookie Drake London looks to be the default No. 1 receiver, but don’t expect to see him in any of the Falcons remaining preseason games after suffering a knee injury after his first catch.
London should be ready for the Falcons opening game, but his absence presents an opportunity for a player like Johnson.
