According to Adam Schefter, former Atlanta Falcons head coach Dan Quinn is flying to Dallas today to interview with the Cowboys for the defensive coordinator position.
Quinn served as defensive coordinator for the Seattle Seahawks before becoming head coach of the Falcons.
Quinn was never able to replicate the success in Atlanta on the defensive side of the ball that he had in Seattle, but a big part of that was the philosophy of then general manager Thomas Dimitroff.
Dimitroff frequently invested heavily in offensive skill positions while neglecting both lines of scrimmage and the defensive side of the ball.
Quinn will get another chance in the NFL, and it will be interesting to see if he can find the same success on defense that he had in Seattle.
