The Atlanta Falcons have signed free agent cornerback Fabian Moreau to bolster the secondary depth. Tom Pelissero reported the news on Twitter.
Moreau has spent his four-year career with the Washington Football team. He played in all 16 games in 2020 (one start) and had nine tackles and an interception.
He started 10 games in 2018, his second season in the league, and he had three interceptions in 2019.
Moreau was a third round draft pick out of UCLA in 2017.
Exceptionally fast, Moreau was a 4.35 forty man out of the NFL Combine in 2017. At 6’0 and 205 pounds he has excellent size as well. Moreau posted a 136 inch broad jump at the combine, 11’4″. Anything over 10’6″ is considered elite. 11’4″ is freakish. Moreau is an incredible athlete.
The Falcons are tight against the salary cap, and according to Adam Caplan, Moreau signed for the veteran minimum which will put his compensation just under $1M in 2021.
