Atlanta Falcons Over/Under Win Total Revealed

Atlanta Falcons fans expect to see better quarterback play with Kirk Cousins arriving in town. Looking at the team’s 2024 over/under, it’s clear the sports books have the same expectation. has an early over/under for the Falcons set at 10.5 for the 2024 season. Only the Kansas City Chiefs, San Francisco 49ers and Baltimore Ravens have a higher over/under total.

The Falcons haven’t won more than 10 games in a season since 2016, which was the year they won the NFC championship.

Atlanta hasn’t reached even 10 wins since 2017. The Falcons finished 7-10 each of the past three seasons under former head coach Arthur Smith.

But the Falcons replaced Smith with Raheem Morris and signed Cousins to a 4-year, $180 million deal in free agency. For those reasons, Atlanta has as much optimism going into this season as they have had in a long time.

The 2024 NFL schedule will not be released until May 9. But Atlanta’s opponents are another reason for optimism.

Playing in the NFC South will give the Falcons a significant advantage in reaching 11 wins. They will have six division games against opponents who all haven’t won at least 10 games in a season since 2021.

Additionally, the Falcons will face six teams outside the NFC South who posted losing records last season. Furthermore, they will square off against four other franchises who either missed the postseason or lost in the first round of the playoffs.

The only team outside the NFC South Atlanta has on its 2024 schedule who advanced to at least the divisional round is the Kansas City Chiefs.

It’s also important to note that the NFL schedule has one more game than it used to. The last time the Falcons won 11 games, they went 11-5. But an 11-6 record in 2024 will still get them over the 10.5 win mark.

With the arrival of Morris and Cousins coupled with a favorable schedule, expectations should be higher in Atlanta.

In addition to the Falcons, the Detroit Lions, Cincinnati Bengals, Buffalo Bills and Philadelphia Eagles all have their over/under at set at 10.5. The Chiefs, 49ers and Ravens possess a 11.5 win over/under.
