Falcons Frighteningly Thin at Safety

While no official statement has been made, Damontae Kazee is not expected to be back with the Atlanta Falcons. Kazee was set to be a free agent in 2021 with the hopes of coming back to the Falcons after an injury 2020.

If his Instagram story is any hint, Kazee won’t be with Atlanta for the near future.

Kazee started the first four games for the Falcons in 2020 and had 20 tackles, and he was placed on injured reserve on October 7th.

The Falcons are frighteningly thin at the safety position with Keanu Neal headed to free agency and cutting Ricardo Allen.

It was thought the Falcons would need at least one safety coming out of the draft and free agency, but now it looks like the Falcons will need three.

We took a look at three safeties that could be available on Day 2 of the NFL Draft that could be options for the Falcons.
