The Atlanta Falcons selected wide receiver Drake London with their first round pick on Thursday night in the NFL Draft.
London was the first wide receiver off the board, starting a run on wide receivers that ended with a record six being taken in the top-20 picks.
London didn’t run the 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine or his pro day, instead relying on the age-old phrase “check the tape.”
Falcons head coach Arthur Smith had the same sentiment when asked if they had a 40-time on London. Pressed by D. Orlando Ledbetter of the AJC, and Smith wouldn’t budge.
“We’re not going to discuss internal measurements we have on guys,” said Smith.
