The Atlanta Falcons have been busy this offseason shaking up their staff.
On Tuesday it was reported that the Falcons had fired wide receiver coach Dave Brock. Josh Kendall was the first to report the news on Twitter.
Brock was one of the few holdover coaches from the Dan Quinn regime. He was hired by the Falcons in 2017 after having previously been the head coach of the Delaware Blue Hens.
The Falcons passing game finished 16th in the NFL in 2021, but it’s hard to lay the blame on Brock and the receivers he had to work with. Julio Jones was traded before the season, and Calvin Ridley only played five games and was a shell of his 2020 self in the five he played.
Offensive line assistant Chandler Henley had previously worked with head coach Arthur Smith while with the Tennessee Titans. He had been an offensive quality control coach.
Earlier this month, the Falcons parted ways with director of pro player personnel Steve Sabo, and quarterbacks coach Charles London was also interviewing with the Dolphins last week.
New Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel spent two years on the Falcons staff as an offensive assistant, and he has turned his attention to his former employer more than once already while trying to fill out his staff.
