New Atlanta Falcons Safety Erik Harris writes Goodbye Note to Raiders
Erik Harris was signed as a free agent by the Atlanta Falcons this week, and he gives a fond farewell to the Raiders organization where he played the last four seasons.
Harris posted his message on Twitter last night.
Harris took the long road to the NFL from California. No not the big state that produces the third most college football players in the country, but the D2 school in Pennsylvania.
He overcame a serious knee injury to have not only make an NFL roster, but start 26 games in 2019 and 2020.
Harris had a special farewell for the members of Raider Nation.
“Lastly, thank you Raider Nation for always supporting me and my family and welcoming us with open arms. I truly respect the commitment and loyalty to the Silver and Black. Raider Nation you guys are amazing,” wrote Harris on Twitter.
He left little doubt about his intentions at his next stop though as he signed off with the Falcons signature tag.
“My story continues! Excited about my next chapter #RiseUp.”
