The Atlanta Falcons waived seven year veteran Ricardo Allen yesterday. Allen played safety for the Falcons and recorded 340 tackles and 11 interceptions in his career.
Allen took to Instagram to write a goodbye note yesterday.

In his note Allen says “Even though our record didn’t always show it, in my soul I know that we are winners.”
Allen further stats that “one day I want to be an offensive coordinator, so when I retire from playing in like 10 years @atlantafalcons Imma need my job back!”
Allen played in 12 games with the Falcons in 2020 and posted 25 tackles and two interceptions. He signed a three year contract in 2018 with $10.9 million guaranteed according to Spotrac. His release adds another $2.125 million in dead cap space from his $5.5 million signing bonus in 2018, but should take about $4 million off the salary cap for the 2021 season.
