As the possibility of moving Julio Jones has become more of a reality for the Atlanta Falcons, he’s drawn comments from national media and other players alike.
Tennessee Titans receiver A.J. Brown is the latest to weigh in on the possibility of playing with Jones.
PFF Fantasy Football did a mocked a team that included Ryan Tannehill, Derrick Henry, Brown, and Jones with the Titans. The prospect of that offense would be terrifying to opponents and tantalizing to Titans fans and Brown alike.
“I would give up #11 if this happens,” wrote Brown on Twitter. “Playing alongside my idol would be crazy . No team is stopping this!!!”
Brown, just 23 years old, has back to back 1,000 yard seasons with the Titans. He had 70 catches for 1,075 yards and 11 touchdowns in 2020.
Jones battled injuries last season, but is the all-time leader for receptions and yards for the Falcons and has a chance to make big moves up the history books this season.
The Tennessee Titans had the third ranked offense in the NFL last year, which led to their offensive coordinator Arthur Smith being hired by the Falcons as head coach.
The Falcons need to cut roughly $11M off of their salary cap just to sign their draft picks this season.
Sending the Titans Julio Jones would be an awfully good way for the Falcons to say “thank you” for hiring Smith.
